Sara Grey
founder & dilly dally girl
while growing up on the gulf coast in ocean springs, mississippi, I always had an interest in fashion and the desire to stand out in a crowd. this was also influenced by time spent in a community where our coastal art & culture were heavily celebrated.
over the years, I began to realize just how essential small businesses are to our livelihood and promoting sustainability. I also became acquainted with the idea that I could turn my creative hobbies into a viable career.
dilly dally itself is a concept that formed over many years of discussion with my mom.
my mom often said that when she was young, family members made remarks that "all she does is dilly dally". being extremely similar to her in many aspects, it became a common joke between us that we were both born to be "dilly-dallyers." when I was around 14, I had already decided that my future business would be named after this quality we shared.
since earning my BSBA in merchandising from USM in august of 2025, it was only a matter of time before I insisted upon finally bringing my ideas to life. the future of dilly dally is unclear, but I can only hope that all my fellow dilly-dallyers will feel at home here <3
